Details of E-Visa Guidelines:

UAE residents can arrive and stay in Turkey for no more than ninety (90) days on an electronic visa. The electronic visa facility is open for over 100 countries. If you do not have a UAE passport and you are not an Emirati citizen, you can use the passport issued by your native government to apply for the e-Visa.

Who Can Apply for a Turkey E-Visa?

All UAE residents/citizens, including foreign nationals, can apply for an e-Visa to Turkey to get an entry permit for travelling to the country. They can apply for a visa if their visit is short-term and their purpose of travel is tourism or business. Furthermore, the Turkey visa application system is the same for people in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or Sharjah.

Emirati nationals must qualify to apply for an e-Visa for which they need to meet the following criteria.

• They must possess a valid passport with six months left in its expiry beyond their date of departure from Turkey
• An active, international credit or debit card for paying the visa fee
• An email ID where the approved visa will be sent in PDF format

Visa Application Steps:

The e-Visa application is a simple three-step process.

First Step: Access the Turkey visa application form and complete the mandatory entries. Use your passport to complete the form and avoid mismatches between travel documents (your passport and visa application form).

Second Step: Pay the Turkey e-Visa processing fees. You can choose from three options, depending on your desired processing time.

• Standard: Visa processed in ... for 106.5$
• Rush Visa: processed in ... for 126.5$
• Super Rush: Visa processed in ... for 156.5$

Third Step: The final step is submitting the completed e-Visa application

The approved Turkish visa is usually received within 1 to 3 business days. You will receive the visa approval within 12 - 24 hours if you have selected the super rush option.

However, it is worth noting that the Turkish authorities may ask for additional documents per the applicant’s nationality.

How Do You Receive the E-Visa?

If there is no discrepancy found in your e-Visa application and the passport, and the information your provided is authentic, the authorities will dispatch your visa to the email address mentioned in the e-Visa application form. The approved e-Visa arrives digitally in PDF format. You should immediately take a printout of the approved visa and save it on your mobile device as well. When you travel to Turkey, please take the printout of your approved visa and passport to show the border control officials.

Points to Note:

• The stay validity relies on their nationality. UAE residents can stay in Turkey for 30 to 90 days. This means UAE residents can stay in Turkey for 30 days, whereas UAE citizens can stay for 90 days.
• If you are a foreign resident living in the UAE, you must be a citizen of an eligible country to apply for an e-Visa. For instance, if you are an Indian passport holder, you are eligible to apply because India is on the list of 100 countries eligible for e-Visa.
• The e-Visa cost varies depending on factors such as the visa type (single-entry or multiple-entry) and stay duration (30 or 90 days).
• The visa type issued to the applicant depends on their nationality.
• The e-Visa fee is non-refundable.

COVID-19 Requirements for UAE Residents

The Turkish government announced travelers are no longer required to take COVID-19 PCR test results and health declaration forms to enter Turkey. The PCR test/health declaration form requirement for Turkey was removed on June 1, 2022.

Old: Every UAE traveller will present a -ve (negative) COVID-19 PCR test result. The result must not be more than 72 hours old. Moreover, travellers will apply for a Health Declaration form, the process for which is the same as the e-Visa. Without the form and the -ve PCR result, the traveler will be denied entry to Turkey. A negative PCR result for COVID-19 is mandatory for all travelers arriving in Turkey except for transit passengers and children six years of age or below.
